Good afternoon forum members! I have purchased 2 Dynaco PAS 2 units. Both units have distortion on both channels. I have never worked on tube gear, but have experience with non tube gear; speakers, turntables, etc. I’m looking for suggestions on replacement of main filter caps; keep original or mod. I’ve restored multiple of these units and have found the filter caps to be bad in all cases. While you could check for leaks in the coupling caps, in my experience, the power supply is the point of failure on these. You can either do the upgrade manually or replace with a PS board. The boards are more expensive, but other than some wiring are drop in replacements for the entire powersupply
